Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.

You will take a further 20 credits of modules either from the Ancient Culture list or the Ancient History list, if no CAH-coded module was chosen above, or from the English modules listed above, excluding any module already selected.
Other optional modules may also be available from within or outside the School of History, Classics and Archaeology.
UK and EU students also have the opportunity to broaden their academic experience by spending Stage 2 studying at one of our partner institutions in Europe through the Erasmus exchange programme. This will be a fully recognised period of study during which you also undertake the following module:
