+ A Levels

ABB. Grade B at GCSE in any language is required.

+ International Baccalaureate

A minimum of 34 points including a foreign language at Standard Level (Grade 5) if not offered at Higher Level.

+ Scottish Qualifications

AABBB at Higher Grade. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted, including a foreign language at grade 2 Standard Grade (or Intermediate 2 equivalent).

+ Irish Leaving Certificate

A1A1B1B1B at Higher Level. A foreign language Ordinary Level at Grade A is also required if not offered at Higher Level.

+ Access Qualifications

Candidates are welcomed and considered on an individual basis. Evidence of study of a foreign language is also required.

+ BTEC Level 5 HND

Applicants offering a BTEC Higher National Diploma will be considered on an individual basis.

+ BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly BTEC National Diploma)

Applicants offering a BTEC National Diploma will be considered on an individual basis.

+ Cambridge Pre-U

D3,M2,M2 in Principal Subjects. Grade B at GCSE in any language is required.

+ PARTNERS - A Levels

BBB. Grade B at GCSE in any language is required.

+ Additional Information

You do not need any previous experience of studying Chinese or Japanese to apply for this degree. What is more important is enthusiasm for learning a language and an active interest in other cultures.

+ English Language Requirements

For this degree you will need a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
