+ A Levels

AAB-ABB including Music (AS level Music may be considered, but will depend on the combination of subjects/qualifications being studied).

+ Scottish Qualifications

AAABB-AABBB at Higher Grade, including Music. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted.

+ International Baccalaureate

34-35 points with Music at Higher Level.

+ Irish Leaving Certificate

A1A1A1B1-A1A1B1B1B at Higher Level, to include Music.

+ Access Qualifications

Level 3 units in Music (including Music Theory) required. At least 30 level 3 credits at Distinction and in addition at least 15 level 3 credits at a minimum of Merit.

+ BTEC Level 5 HND

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis.

+ BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly BTEC National Diploma)

In a music-related subject, at overall D*DD and ABRSM Grade 5 ABRSM Theory in addition to the Diploma.

+ Cambridge Pre-U

D3,D3,M2-D3,M2,M2 in Principal Subjects including Music.

+ PARTNERS - A Levels

ABB including Music. AS level Music may be considered, but will depend on the combination of subjects/qualifications being studied.

+ PARTNERS - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly BTEC National Diploma)

In a music-related subject, at overall DMM and ABRSM Grade 5 ABRSM Theory in addition to the Diploma. Also, evidence of 'academic' writing on music required if not fulfilled by choice of units.

+ Additional Information

Applicants intending to take modules in performance should have passed Associated Board Grade 8 or the equivalent or be of a similar standard.

Applicants may be invited to an interview and a short audition.

+ English Language Requirements

For this degree you will need a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
