Undergraduate Student Finance

Our high graduate employability and low cost of living mean a degree from Newcastle is a sound financial investment. To help finance your studies, the University offers a generous range of scholarships. We also provide help finding part-time work that you can fit around your studies.

Tuition fees

We will be charging a tuition fee of £9,000 per year for new undergraduates, from the UK and EU, who start university in 2015 and 2016.

Scholarships

We invest millions of pounds in financial support for UK students who choose to come and study here. Our generous range of scholarships and fee discounts will help around 30% of new undergraduate students starting their degrees in 2015 and 2016.

Living costs

Newcastle is a cost-effective student city with lower than average student rents and a relatively low cost of living. You will need to allow around £8,500 a year to cover your living costs. For further information see our guide to living costs.
