Non-repayable Grants 2013 Entry

Please note: this information applies to students from England. Some information is different for students from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Please see your student finance body for more information.

  • Non-repayable grants are available to help with your living costs such as food, accommodation and travel
  • They do not have to be paid back
  • The amount you receive depends on your household income, assessed by Student Finance England based on the information you provide
  • If your household income is £25,000 a year or less you will be entitled to a full grant of £3,354 a year
  • If your household income is between £25,000 and £42,600 a year you would be entitled to a partial grant of between £3,354 and £50 a year

The amount of your living cost loan entitlement varies depending on whether you are also entitled to a non-repayable grant. See table below:
