Newcastle University will be charging a tuition fee of £9,000 per year for new undergraduates who start University in September 2012.
* Eligibility will depend on factors including where you live, the course you choose to study, where you study, and whether or not you already hold a higher education qualification. (Source: Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.)
For some degrees, you may need to allow for extra costs to cover elements of your course such as projects, expeditions, periods of study abroad, field trips, essential equipment and instruments, drawing materials, printing and other resources.
You will need to allow around £7,500 a year to cover your living costs (accommodation, utility bills, food, clothing, transport, entertainment and insurance). This figure is for guidance only and will depend on your own personal spending patterns and money managing skills. See our guide to living costs.
The University will withhold degree certification if tuition fees have not been paid. Please see University General Regulations (PDF: 63KB).
Universities wishing to charge tuition fees of more than £6,000 per year have had to commit to an Access Agreement negotiated with the Office for Fair Access (OFFA) which sets out their commitments to widening participation and fair access. See Newcastle University's Access Agreement (PDF: 766KB).
