Student Advice Centre

Student Advice Centre

The Student Advice Centre is part of the Students' Union. It is open throughout term time and vacations.

It offers a professional support service to all our students and their dependants. The service is friendly, free, impartial and strictly confidential.

They can listen to your worries and frustrations, and discuss possible ways forward. It is staffed by independent and experienced advisers who can provide advice, information and assistance on:

  • finance and employment
  • legal and consumer matters
  • immigration and visa issues
  • academic problems
  • housing
  • health care
  • registering with doctors and dentists

You can either visit the Centre direct for a free and confidential discussion or use the Livechat service to speak to an adviser online.

If you prefer to speak to a fellow student, Nightline, a confidential listening and information telephone service, offers a point of contact through the night and early hours of the morning.
