- Evolution Festival - an ever expanding outdoor festival based down at the Quayside featuring headline artists such as Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Deadmau5
- Tyneside Irish Festival - showcases a wide variety of traditional and contemporary Irish music, dance and culture
- Gateshead International Jazz Festival - the UK's biggest jazz festival takes place in the spectacular surroundings of The Sage Gateshead
- Newcastle Community Green Festival - held in Leazes Park it provides a showcase for local musicians and performers, as well as hands-on arts, children's activities and environmental awareness.
- Newcastle Mela - is a free two day family event filled with Asian music and cultural dance based in Exhibition Park.
