Choosing Newcastle
I chose Newcastle University because of the teaching expertise and the reputation. I had heard about the high standard of teaching and also spoke with current students who reassured me about the wonderful time I would have if I chose Newcastle as my university. Believe me they were right!
Studying in Newcastle
I am studying Biology and I can say that the standards are really high and I really enjoy it. There is an increasingly high level in means of teaching and studying level. We had a great first year full of field trips and two summer weeks full of new stuff to learn. I enjoyed the first year, but at the moment I am really happy with the second year programme as we have the opportunity to choose modules of our interest and learn things you always wanted. Brilliant!
University facilities
I am currently a member of the Sports Centre. It is my second year and I am really enthusiast about the facilities in there.
Living in Newcastle
Passionate people, passionate city! Isn't it the quote of Newcastle? So true! You can hear people say that they are in love with Newcastle. This is happening with me myself as the air, the atmosphere and the whole architecture is so magical. You are walking by the Tyne and you feel so calm. You are going out at the night and there are hundreds of clubs, restaurants to go and have fun. Such a magical city!
Spare time
I mostly enjoy hanging out with friends at the different cafes of the city and as I am a great shopaholic, Newcastle is the best place for me! I also enjoy reading literature in my spare time so the new city library is a great place for me.
Your future
I am seriously thinking of apply for a Master of Research program at Newcastle University as I think that I would rather be here than any other city in England. I am also thinking about staying for a while and work here.
