Choosing Newcastle
I chose Newcastle University for a variety of reasons, these ranged from its brilliant academic standing to the vast range of societies and sports clubs available to students. Also the University is in a brilliant city surrounded by amazing countryside.
Studying at Newcastle
I think the course so far has been really good. It's covered a wide range of modules from the animal kingdom to biochemistry. The standard of lecturing and support available to me has been outstanding and I can't wait for next year.Project based group work has been an effective way to get to know a wide range of people on my course. This project work has ranged from informative posters to group presentations.
Living in Newcastle
It's a really exciting place to live with amazing night life and so many options to do if you have spare time. I live at St Mary's College and it's good. The people and flats are great but it is just so far from University. However this issue is really helped by the free couches the University offer.
Socialising at Newcastle
I play for two football teams at University so this takes up a fair amount of time, but I also play squash, surf and go walking. When I'm not doing sport I will normally be hanging out with my mates or catching up on University work.
