Choosing Newcastle
I chose Newcastle because I wanted to further my Agricultral knowledge and to give myself more of the chance to apply for a wide range of jobs in the future. I also wanted to experience city life. Newcastle was the perfect place for me as it was able to offer both of these things.
Course So Far
The course so far is good and it has lived up to everything I expected it to and more. The range of topics covered in the subjects we do is great and I feel I have learnt so much more than what I would if I had just got a job after college.
Living in Newcastle
The city is great! There is loads to do in your spare time from go karting to watching sport to going to the beach and chilling out. There's also plenty of places to go for a night out. I live in Jesmond. It's good as it's a large student area but yet its peaceful. There are large parks to spend time with mates having a kick about and there is also a great social area due to a number of bars being close. My advice for going into halls is make lots of friends, talk to everyone and get involved in the things that are going on. It makes the first year fly by!
Best Thing About University
The best thing about Newcastle is the amount of different people you get to meet through the course and general uni life and the number of new things you experience!
