Choosing Newcastle
Newcastle isn't too far from where I'm from and is thought of highly as a university. Furthermore, I took part in the PARTNERS scheme so it helped me get into the university with lower grades.
Studying at Newcastle
I am enjoying my course on the whole, I'm finding it very broad, as we are covering about 9 different modules. I was surprised at how much help is being offered, I expected it to be a lot more 'independent studying'.
There have been several fields trips in different modules, the most notable being a visit to a construction site where we got to see civil engineering in the real world.
Living in Newcastle
Newcastle is lively, but not too busy all of the time. The people are friendly, the shops are good and the night life is one of the best in the country.I live in Heaton, it's known as a student area and is very good value for money.
Socialising at Newcastle
In my spare time I mostly playing sport, but I also take part in charity work here and there.
Best thing about being at Newcastle
The opportunities that it provides. It opens doors to anything and everything!
