Zoe Philosophical Studies: Knowledge and Human Interests BA Honours

Newcastle is of the friendliest cities you will ever visit and has so much to do! It is the kind of city where you can never be bored with the University located a step away from the football stadium, shops, bars, restaurants

Choosing Newcastle

I chose Newcastle as it was the one University that stood out from the rest on the Visit Day. Newcastle is such an exciting city, but isn’t so big that you can’t make it feel like home. The Student Union has so much going on to welcome you and make you feel like you belong. Another big reason for choosing Newcastle is that the city not only has a lot of culture but also a great nightlife!

Best thing about the course

The thing that I like most about Philosophical Studies at Newcastle is that it can be moulded to my personal interests. With the optional modules I have the chance to study about things that interest me the most.

Another great thing about Philosophy is that all of the modules are so interesting, you are spoilt for choice!

Recommending Newcastle

Clubs and societies at Newcastle

Living in Newcastle

I live in Jesmond at the moment and it was really easy to find a place. There are so many student properties in Newcastle in a range of locations. The price of rent can be as cheap or expensive as you like with some houses being as low as £50pw! Halls in first year is a great way to get into university life and meet new friends from lots of different places.
