Our members consist of University researchers, students and partners.
We provide a focus for research activities on human interactions with wild species. This includes:
- wildlife disease ecology
- population modelling
- conflict management
- the ecology of invasive non-native species
- the consequences of human actions on wildlife and their habitats
Our interests span novel research, the production of evidence to support actions, and its use in policy.
Our activities activities include collaborations and knowledge exchange with a range of other organisations. In particular, the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) which is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
We welcome a number of APHA staff as our associate members. They bring particular skills in wildlife research and the use of scientific evidence to support policy.
