During 2016-17 the Human Resources team carried out a major review of the language and tone of family friendly policies.
The following policies were subsequently revised and relaunched:
- Maternity/Adoption Policy
- Paternity Policy
- Parental Leave Policy
- Special Leave Guidance
- Flexible Working Policy
Ongoing policy work to support the University's commitment to the Athena SWAN Charter includes:
- Revised Dignity and Respect Policy and Procedure launched in December 2017
- Review of the University's Policy for Equality Analysis and Decision Making in 2018
- Development of a joint staff and student Gender Identity Policy in 2018
