Using the storage
We may occasionally need to suspend access to bicycle parking areas to enable maintenance access. We'll give you at least two weeks’ notice so that you can remove your bicycle. If you fail to do so, the bike will be removed by management.
Please be advised that the bike storage is not insured, and your standard Personal Possessions Insurance (provided as part of your accommodation contract) does not cover bicycles. You are advised to use a strong lock and to take out extended insurance cover for your bicycle. Your bike must be removed at the end of your contract period. Due to a lack of storage space, abandoned bicycles will be given to charity.
All residents and visitors may use the outside bicycle racks on a first-come, first-served basis. You do not need to request permission. If you have any questions regarding bike storage, please feel free to reach out to your accommodation reception.
As per the terms of your contract, you should not store your bicycle inside your room or anywhere inside our accommodation due to safety and space restrictions. It is advisable to use the designated bicycle storage facilities at your accommodation or on campus.
Yes, you can bring more than one bicycle to the University. It is important to note that the availability of storage facilities may be limited and subject to availability. We recommend checking with our accommodation services team in advance to ensure that there is enough space to store multiple bicycles.
