Cholesterol, statins and heart attack risks: the truth of the matter

This talk will summarise all that is known about cholesterol, its links to heart attacks and strokes, and the possible benefits of statins.  It will consider which side effects of statins are real and what we can do about them; how best determine who may most benefit from statins, and if those in very old age can also benefit.
