Newcastle University Law Alumni Event

We are delighted to share the news that our Newcastle University Law Alumni Event, for the first time, will be going virtual in 2020.

Date/Time: Thursday, 29 October 2020, 19:00 - 20:20

Venue: Online

Our event will be held on Zoom, and hosted by Jonathan Galloway, Head of Newcastle University Law School, who will be addressing our achievements to date, as well as sharing new projects, and ways to support. There will also be a chance to hear from our current scholarship recipients, network with your peers, and enjoy a short lecture from Lilian Edwards, Professor of Law, Innovation & Society on the topic of ‘Track and Trace’. We would be grateful if you could RSVP by Friday 23 October 2020.

This years’ event looks to be a particularly special one, as we come together, during this challenging time, to celebrate the students supported by you, our alumni. From offering placements and mentoring to supporting scholarships and prizes, through the Law Alumni Fund, we are so lucky to have a strong graduate network, supporting our students and helping them achieve their potential.

Since we can’t all be together physically, we will be hosting three themed breakout rooms, after the lecture, as way of connecting in smaller groups, so please do tick your preference, when registering. We would also like to share a guest list of attendees, on our website, ahead of the event, to encourage easy networking on the evening, please do let us know in your response if you are happy for us to share your name/degree/profession.

We look forward to seeing you on the 29th October. If you can't wait to reconnect with your peers, then you can also join the Law Alumni Society on NCL spark today. The virtual society allows you to discuss hot topics, ask questions/ advice to industry leaders just like you and increase your global networks.
