Susannah Rodgers MBE is a former British Paralympic Swimmer, living, working and training in London. She was a member of the British Para Swimming World Class Podium programme from 2011 to 2016 and has competed both at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. During her career she has won a total of 30 international medals including 17 Gold medals at Paralympic, World and European level as well as a 6 time Paralympic medallist. She has held European and British records in the 50m Butterfly and 400m freestyle (S7 category). Susie announced her retirement from swimming in May 2017.
Susie graduated from Newcastle in 2005 with 1st Class BA honours in Modern Languages. Alongside her career as an athlete she has worked for the British Council as a manager on various projects based in the UK and abroad. She is a Trustee for the London 2012 Legacy programme Spirit of 2012, and Non-Executive Director on the Board of the British Athletes Commission (the voice of the UK's elite Olympic and Paralympic athletes) as well as the GLL Sport Foundation. She is Patron for London Disability Swimming Club and Ambassador for the GLL Greenwich Starting Blocks programme and was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2013, and an MBE in 2017.
