NCL Develop: Leadership Coaching

3 interactive workshops to help alumni develop effective leadership skills and tackle common challenges and issues faced by leaders and managers.

Join us in November for a 3-part series of Newcastle Develop workshops aimed at graduates working in leadership and management positions, delivered by Newcastle alumna and Career Coach, Laura Ogilvie-Jones (find out more about Laura below!)

Each workshop will last 60 minutes and will be held virtually via Zoom, so you can join us wherever you are in the world! The workshops will be fully interactive with workbooks completed during the workshops with lots of hints, tips and takeaways to put into practice straight away.

Imposter Syndrome workshop (1 November 2023)

Join us to discover what imposter syndrome is, how it affects everyone (especially those in leadership positions) and how you can effectively manage it so you can stay focused on being an outstanding leader.

Emotional Intelligence workshop (8 November 2023)

In our second session, we'll explore what emotional intelligence is and the components that make up our EQ (emotional quotient), the importance of developing a high EQ to be an effective leader. Attendees will leave with practical steps to develop and grow their emotional intelligence.

Tackling Conflict and Difficult Situations workshop (15 November 2023)

The most effective leaders have excellent conflict management skills, and they diffuse conflict and difficult situations, whilst also setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries and expectations. In our third and final workshop, you will learn how to handle difficult situations effectively and set boundaries to manage and avoid conflict.

Laura Ogilvie-Jones is an ICF accredited Professional Coach, a qualified Careers Advisor and an Emotional Intelligence assessor - and she is also a Newcastle University alumna (Class of 1998)!
