LIVE Concerts at Home

LIVE Concerts at Home

Weekly performances every Thursday lunchtime

The Live Music programme at Newcastle University includes lunchtime concerts and student performances.

These events are free and open to alumni, students, staff and members of the public.

In normal circumstances Live in the King's Hall lunchtime concerts, student performances and other recitals organised by the International Centre for Music Studies (ICMuS), take place in the Armstrong Building.

However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are not in a position to offer you events, concerts or recitals on campus right now, and are unable to have live audiences in the King’s Hall. However, Newcastle University welcomes you to view its series of free, online virtual ‘concerts’ – LIVE Concerts at Home.

The concerts will be available to view via the International Centre for Music Studies' YouTube channel every Thursday.

Lunchtime concerts

Lunchtime concerts take place on Thursdays. The concerts start promptly at 13:15 and last around 45 minutes.

Student performances

Student performances start at 16:00 and last approximately one hour. These performances offer an opportunity for music students to showcase work in progress on a public platform.
