Networking is a powerful source that can not only benefit your career, but also help to raise your profile, broaden your opportunities and gain fresh perspectives.
It can sometimes be difficult to know where to start when it comes to networking and how to access those individuals who can really make a difference to you. But did you know that there are over 7,000 Newcastle University graduates in Newcastle alone? This can be a great community in which to make connections.
That’s why the Newcastle University Newcastle Alumni Network are here to help! They are delighted to host the first of their informal networking events at One Strawberry Lane on Thursday 19 October 2023. These events are designed to provide a relaxed, informal space where alumni can meet each other and make connections across industries, organisations, and interests.
Their first event focuses on graduates who are entrepreneurs and business owners, or those simply interested in learning more about the start-up space in the North East.
Alumnus Richard Hogg (Company Director of Jackson Hogg) will be giving a presentation about his experience of creating a business in the North East, and the importance of a good network.
This event also provides a platform for you to shout about your own business to other graduates, or ask for help from a willing and able community.
