Newcastle Develop Series: Hospitality, events, travel and leisure

Wednesday 28 April 2021, 18:30 - 19:30 (BST)
Online

Join us for our Newcastle Develop Series event focusing on careers in the hospitality, events, travel and leisure sectors.

The Newcastle Develop Series is a professional development event programme aimed at exploring the emerging graduate professions inspiring our early- to mid-career alumni. On the last Wednesday of each month, we will be focusing on a different profession and will be joined by alumni and supporters who are experts in their field for a live discussion and Q&A.

April's event will focus on the following sectors: hospitality, events, travel and leisure.

Wednesday 28 April, 18:30 - 19:30 (BST)

We are delighted to confirm the following alumni as our guest speakers:

  • Tamara Strauss - Global Customer Director at Premier Inn. Tamara studied her undergraduate degree in Food Marketing at Newcastle, graduating in 1996.
  • Kathryn Kapczynski - Visitor Services Manager at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Kathryn studied her postgraduate degree in Art, Museum and Gallery Studies at Newcastle, graduating in 2010.
  • Kerry McCabe - Business Network Manager at NE1 and Freelance Events Manager. Kerry studied her undergraduate degree in English Literature at Newcastle, graduating in 2003.

The panel of experts will share their predictions on what the next 18 months will look like for the sectors, discuss how different they could be, and provide advice on what students and graduates starting out in the sectors should be thinking about.
