Many of us will end up in a management position during our professional lives, either as the owner of a business, or part of corporate structures within organisations and industries.

However, being a ‘manager’ can mean very different things in different industries, and even within the same companies! The title manager can also be frustratingly vague or indeed incredibly specific over specific work areas.

One thing that is remarkably consistent is that becoming a manager requires responsibility over an area of work and often one or more individuals who report into you. And this can be an intimidating prospect, especially when you are a manager for the first time.

Join Newcastle graduates as they share their managerial experience, the pitfalls to hopefully avoid, as well as the positives of being a manager for the first time. Our panel will explore their own lessons learnt and mistakes, and things to be aware of as you become a manager.

Register now and join us on the day to have your questions answered live in our Q&A session.
