Motivating, Inspiring and Nurturing Talent (MINT) Day 2018

In May ten alumnae returned to campus to take part in the University’s MINT Day

Organised by the Faculty of Science, Agriculture & Engineering, MINT Day is a free on-campus annual event for Year 9 girls, designed to showcase some of the opportunities available to them in the working world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Ten female graduates, all now working in STEM fields, volunteered to attend the event to share their experiences of working and building a career in STEM industries.

Commenting on the event, Jenny Combe, Alumni Programmes Officer, said: “It’s always fantastic to have our alumni back on campus. As a STEM alumna myself, it was wonderful to see how passionate my fellow female STEM graduates are about their subject and making the many opportunities in STEM apparent to other young women.”
