Professor Rachel Armstrong awarded the Michael Breheny Prize

The paper, “Evaluation of French motorway network in relation to slime mould transport networks” has been awarded the Michael Breheny Prize for the Best Paper in Environmentand Planning B: Urban Analytics and City Science, 44(2) 364–383, DOI: 10.1177/0265813515626924, published in 2017. Rachel co-authored the paper alongside a team from UWE Bristol; Jeff Jones, Andrew Adamatzky and Olivier Allard.

The Breheny Prize is awarded annually for the most innovative paper in Environment and Planning B: Urban Analytics and City Science during the preceding year. It is in recognition of the contribution of Michael Breheny, who was a co-editor of the journal from 1989 until his untimely death in 2003. The paper is chosen by the editors assisted occasionally by members of the editorial board.
