Clive Davies delivers talk at World Forum on Urban Forests in Mantova

The first World Forum on Urban Forests was held in Mantova, Italy from 27 November to 1 December 2018

The forum provided the opportunity for exchange, debate and dialogue on the crucial theme of bringing nature and forests to the centre of contemporary cities. Over the past few decades Urban Foresty has seen rapid growth as an interdisciplinary field of research and practice, the forum celebrated successes and opened discussion on the next steps to be taken in contributing to healthy, resilient and vibrant cities. 

The paper Urban national parks or national park cities published in the Town and Country Planning journal was co-authored by Maggie Roe, Tim Townshend, Clive Davies (Newcastle University), Catharine Ward Thompson (Edinburgh University), Natalie Gulsrud (Copenhagen University) and Qianqian Qin (Newcastle University). Clive Davies attended the World Forum on Urban Forests as a conference speaker on behalf of the authors to discuss the paper.
