Green Infrastructure and Biodiversity

Clive Davies, Honorary Visiting Fellow in the School, is chairing a session on 'Green infrastructure and biodiversity' at the GLOBAL CHANGE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM 2014 on 'Human and Ecosystem Response to Global Change: Evidence and Application' in Ostuni, Brindisi, Italy.

Clive's research focus is on green infrastructure planning, urban forestry and climate change adaptation. He has a long association with public policy development in the urban fringe and working and planning at the landscape scale. Recently he has completed an Anglo-Italian collaboration on the psychological benefits of green areas in relation to heat stress.

Clive is a long standing member of the European Forum on Urban Forestry (EFUF) and currently serves on the Forestry Commission Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) and Environment Agency Regional Environment Protection Advisory Committee (REPAC).  Clive combines academia and teaching into various programmes within the School with running his own consultancy, MD², which focuses on planning, regeneration and green infrastructure (
