Anna Woodford is poet in residence with Professor Rose Gilroy's Co-Motion project which looks at the link between well-being and getting out in older people. Anna has written six poems encouraging us to be kinder to ourselves and our fellow passengers when travelling. The poems are based on a key aspect of Co-Motion’s research which found that people’s attitude to their own health and mobility, as well as the way they felt others perceived them, made a crucial difference in determining their well-being. People with the same issues could have very different experiences of getting out.
