School of Architecture Planning and Landscape Degree Show 2018

Each summer, following months of rigorous ideas exploration, design development and making our architecture and built environment students come together to showcase their work. Held across the School of Architecture, Planning & Landscape at Newcastle University, this annual celebration of our students’ emerging design approaches presents a chance to see how the future of architecture, cities and landscapes will be shaped.

Work from one of the UK’s leading architecture schools covers projects ranging from final year undergraduate architecture student’s work on the North-East coast, Venice, Sunderland, Newcastle city centre and further afield. Work from final year master of architecture students explores the formation of architecture in landscape settings; the economic and political forces producing architecture today; processes & their assemblages and future science-fiction worlds.

Design work of our architecture & urban planning students will be on show, alongside interim projects from our postgraduate MA and MSc courses.

Our launch event and ongoing degree show will feature written work from our celebrated dissertation programme – including photographic and filmic project pieces; built structures from Kielder’s Live Build project; digital-projection installations on buildings & their ghosts and widely published academic and journalistic research work on basement buildings and inequality in London.

This year's event is sponsored by FaulknerBrown Architects.
