Professor Simin Davoudi to join Academic Panel supporting Labour's Planning Commission

The Shadow Minister for Planning and Local Government has invited Professor Simin Davoudi to join the Academic Panel

In October 2018, Labour launched its new Planning Commission. The Planning Commission, comprised of planning experts, councillors, and representatives from industry, has been set up as part of Labour’s agenda to re-engage with communities across the country that have been increasingly marginalised by the current planning system.

Since its launch, the commission has met in different regions of the UK to seek the views of planning leads, developers, councillors and residents from across the country. The Academic Panel has been created to discuss the commission's interim findings and provide guidance to help shape Labour's planning policy for the next general election.
