Wayne Hemingway’s advice: Change the world through Town Planning

Wayne Hemingway MBE urges young people to make a difference through regeneration and place making

In an interview with Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 6, Wayne Hemingway discussed his new project in Perth – the Perth People’s Place – which is regenerating the town to become people focussed, working on redesigning the roads to be solely for cyclists and pedestrians and bringing the focus of the town centre back to communities socialising instead of retail.

He addressed young listeners and encouraged them to take the powerful route of studying Town Planning at University to create an exciting and dynamic future generation of Town Planners.
