Urban Greening and City Design: The case of Amman, Jordan

It has been difficult to apply the urban greening process in Amman in spite of its huge benefits to the city. There is a severe lack of green spaces in the urban fabric of the city due to the fact that there has been no consideration of green spaces in the urban development process. That is why this research aims to investigate the limitations of the urban greening process and its potential application in the city using a qualitative case study approach. The complete picture  provided by the research outcomes revealed particularly complex perspectives ,containing differences and commonalties, among and within the three identified main groups of stakeholders, Local people, design experts and municipality professionals.
