Urban Design (MA, Diploma)

Our Urban Design MA, PGDip is aimed at built environment professionals who want to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in the field of urban design. It equips you to contribute towards an improvement in the quality of the built environment.

The course is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) as a specialist qualification.

We are no longer able to offer this degree programme for September 2020. This is due to delivery constraints as a result of Covid-19, meaning we are unable to ensure the quality of student experience we would usually provide.

Landscape Architecture Studies (MA)

The Landscape Architecture Studies MA will educate you in the knowledge and values of landscape architecture and its interface with planning and architecture. You will develop a practical understanding of the theories, methods and techniques that are applied to landscape architecture, with much of what you learn applicable worldwide.

Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA)

The Master of Landscape Architecture is a two-year full-time postgraduate conversion course for graduates in other disciplines who wish to qualify and work as professional landscape architects or with international landscape qualifications who wish to pursue professional studies in the UK. Whether or not you have a background in design, you'll develop the skills needed for contemporary practice. You will gain a practical understanding of the theories, methods and techniques employed in landscape architecture, with the greater part of what you learn applicable worldwide.

This course has candidate accreditation with the Landscape Institute (LI) and meets the educational requirements for chartered membership. The Landscape Institute is the professional body for the Landscape practitioners in the UK and works with members to protect, conserve and enhance the natural and built environment. We will be applying for full accreditation once the first cohort of students has graduated.

After graduation you will typically undertake the Pathway to Chartership to develop the experience and skills required for Chartered Membership. We encourage our students to take up student membership to provide insight into the profession and gain access to a wealth of resources.
