Soapbox Science
Annual public engagement event
Soapbox Science is a grass-roots science outreach organisation that brings cutting-edge research to urban streets, whilst also promoting the visibility of women in science. Female scientists are placed on soapboxes and encouraged to engage with the public about their work.
For the last 6 years, Newcastle University has provided funding for a local public engagement event at Grey's Monument in Newcastle city centre on Saturday 15 June 2019.
