Live screening of Karen Spärck Jones Lecture 2017: Creating Robots that Care

Newcastle University School of Computing Science Athena SWAN committee and BCS Women would like to invite you to join us for a live screening of the annual Karen Spärck Jones lecture, Creating Robots that Care, and provide an opportunity for networking over a drink.
 
To honour the pioneering work of Karen Spärck Jones the BCS holds a distinguished lecture in her name each year, celebrating a prominent female computing researcher. This is aimed at a wide general audience: we welcome all ages and levels of computing experience. This lecture will be delivered by Dr Maja Matarić and will be streamed live at Newcastle University.
 
This event is for everyone. You do not need to be associated with the University, nor a member of BCS Women, and all genders will be made very welcome.
