Would you like to develop your public engagement skills and be part of Soapbox Science Newcastle 2018?
 
Soapbox Science is a national public outreach event that aims to bring cutting edge research onto urban streets whilst also promoting the visibility of women in science. We place inspirational speakers on soapboxes and encourage them to engage and start conversations with the public about their work.
 
Soapbox Science 2018 is taking place on 16 June 2018, 12:00 -3:00 pm at Grey's Monument in central Newcastle.

Our call for speakers is now open! If you are female, an academic scientist, researcher or PhD student and would like to take part please apply.
 
The closing date is Friday 23 February 2018.
 
Training and guidance will be provided.
