Women & Cinema Day with Kim Longinotto
Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Kim Longinotto will present her latest film Dreamcatchers as part of the Women & Cinema Day organised to celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March 2017

Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Kim Longinotto will present her latest film 'Dreamcatchers' as part of the Women & Cinema Day organized by Film Praxis to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8.
Kim Longinotto will also be talking about her journey as a woman director making films about women. Sheffield International Documentary Festival Deputy Director Melanie Iredale will lead a conversation with Kim. AV Festival Director Rebecca Shatwell and musician-activist Hannabiell Sanders will take part in the Day. Tina Gharavi and Geetha J, two filmmakers based at the University, will present their first films and talk about why and how they entered filmmaking. Leading academics from the University, Karen Ross (Professor of Gender and Media) and Deborah Chambers (Professor of Media and Cultural Studies) will also be speaking at the event.
