Charlotte Bell
Charlotte's EngD project focused on analytical method validation, in particular, methods for measuring oxidation. The project was in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline.
Prior to taking up her EngD Charlotte studied for a MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Nottingham.
Charlotte graduated with her EngD in July 2015 and now works as a Industry Partnerships Manager at University of Oxford.

Keeley Burke
Keeley's EngD project focused on process optimisation for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients. She employed statistical methods to make use of process data that is currently left unused. The project was in collaboration with AstraZeneca, one of the world’s leading Pharmaceutical companies.
Keeley graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Maths and Statistics and completed an MSc in process Analytics and Quality Technology at Newcastle University.
Keeley graduated with her EngD in July 2016 and now works as Data Analyst at ABB.

Joana Figueiredo
Joana's EngD project aimed to improve Personal Care product quality by using advanced data analysis methodologies and through the investigation of the feasibility of new analytical instrumentation. The project was in collaboration with Unilever, one of the world's leading suppliers of consumer goods.
Joana holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering degree from the Instituto Superior Tecnico, Portugal.
Joana graduated with her EngD in July 2015 and is now working as PAT Manager at GSK Ware.

Juliana Haggerty
Juliana's project used image analysis techniques to optimise an assay to diagnose skin damage. The project was in collaboration with Alcyomics Ltd, which provides a testing service for immunomodulatory drugs and hypersensitivity reactions based on a unique human tissue assay.
Prior to her EngD Juliana graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc in Physiological Sciences. Following this, she worked for Millipore a global life sciences company.
Juliana graduated with her EngD in July 2016 and now works as a Bid Writer & Business Development Manager at The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI).

Grace Oppong
Grace's EngD project looked into the intelligent monitoring and control systems for the process industries. The project was in collaboration with Perceptive Engineering Limited.
Grace holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham and completed an MSc in Process Systems Engineering at the University of Surrey.
Grace graduated with her EngD in December 2016 and now works as Assistant Manger at Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP.

Jodie Symington
Jodie's EngD project looked into the virtually untouched, yet vast, array of metabolites produced by marine micro-organisms. The project was in collaboration with Croda, one of the world leaders in speciality chemicals.
Prior to her EngD Jodie graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc in Applied Biology.
Jodie graduated with her EngD in July 2016 and now works as a Senior Research Scientist at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies.
