When I arrived at Newcastle University I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and was a bit nervous. From the outset the staff and students were extremely welcoming and helpful and I quickly put all my worries aside.
The atmosphere at Newcastle University is great and there is always something happening that you can get involved with.
The level of teaching and facilities at the Medical School is excellent. Studying here you are part of a prestigious research university which attracts a lot of experts and generates important research addressing some of the most important questions in today’s world.
I was struck by the enthusiasm that the lecturers communicated through their teaching. It was very easy to become immersed in the world of science and it was at Newcastle University that I gained my own passion for research.
Newcastle’s night life is extremely vibrant and in my three years I have had so many fantastic nights out. From pub crawls and bars to comedy nights and brilliant events at the Union you’ve always got a reason to spend that loan.
Newcastle University has been one of the best experiences of my life. I got to meet amazing people, made a lot of great friends and had the opportunity to learn from top researchers. I am now continuing my education with a Master’s by research in Cancer Studies and hope to go on further and attain a PhD.
I am grateful for my time at Newcastle University and my only regret is that I got to do it just once.
