Student Support

Our range of student services are there to support you through your studies with us.

Each student is assigned an academic member of staff as their personal tutor. The tutor's role is to provide academic and pastoral guidance and advice. They act as a link between the student and University.

We also have an additional level of support with course advisers and a senior tutor. They are available to discuss any problems you might be experiencing.

A Faculty Study Skills Advisor is also available to help with study techniques and time management.

Additional support - both academic and general - is provided by the Degree Programme Director and the Head of School.

Students also run their own student mentoring scheme. Second and Third year students act as mentors to provide support and guidance to first year students.

For international students, HOST UK offers an opportunity to sample the British way of life. We have a network of UK residents who welcome international students into their homes for a weekend or over holidays. It's free of charge. HOST provides helpful support for students who are unable to return home over the vacations.

They University has a Student Wellbeing Service and Student Advice Centre.
