Student Peer Mentoring

Student Peer Mentors

We run a scheme allowing students to mentor a group of first year students

The University wide Peer Mentoring scheme provides first year students with a peer mentor (a second or third year student) who can help guide them through the first year of study and in subsequent years allows students to use their experiences to help others.

Second and third yeas students who successfully apply to be peer mentors receive full training and benefit from the opportunity to develop their leadership, communication and organisational skills.  They are supported in the role by the SBMS senior tutors and by the University’s Peer Mentor Co-ordinator.

For more information contact either Jeremy Brown or Alison Howard (alison.howard@ncl.ac.uk).
