Business School students awarded University Endowed Prizes

Congratulations to the three Business School students who were awarded University Endowed Prizes

18 November 2020

The Scholarships are awarded annually, for exceptional undergraduate academic performance. The award of each Scholarship is based only upon the candidate’s performance in Stage One of their degree programme.

This year the Business School nominated several students for the University Endowed Prizes Awards, with three students being successful. The students who obtained one of the prestigious University Endowed Prizes based on their academic achievement during 2019-20 are:

Tiffany Ioannidou - BSc Marketing & Management Endowed Prize

Oliver Bentley - BA Hons Business Accounting & Finance (placement) Stanley Dennison Scholarship

Emma Kerry - BSc Hons Economics Stanley Dennison Scholarship (London)

The University Endowed Prize Scholarships were established to recognise exceptional academic achievement by 1st year undergraduates. They are funded using a number of smaller legacy funds provided by the donors over a very significant period of time.

The awards are made by the University Endowed Prizes Committee which includes at least one senior academic member from each Faculty (currently the Undergraduate Deans of the three Faculties). Heads of Schools (or their nominees) submit student nominations to the Committee on an annual basis.
