Xinwei Shi (Jason) is a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in Strategic Management at Newcastle University Business School. He achieved a PhD from Durham University and completed full-time Postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University.
Before joining Newcastle University, he worked as a Lecturer and Chief Youth Professor at the Capital University of Economics and Business; full-time Post-doctoral Researcher at Tsinghua University; and full-time Business Lecturer at Durham University.
His research has been published in top and leading international academic journals, e.g., Industrial and Corporate Change, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Digital Economy. He currently sits on the Editorial Review Board of the Management and Organization Review, Journal of International Business Policy, and Journal of Digital Economy.

- Business/innovation ecosystem (e.g., AI, 5G etc.)
- Digital economy
