We offer tailored careers advice for international students. Find out about the support and resources available.
Advice and support
You can benefit from all of the careers resources and activities we offer throughout your studies and for up to three years after you graduate.
We can give you feedback on CVs, covering letters, application forms and LinkedIn profiles. However, we don’t offer a proofreading service.
The Visa Team provide accurate and up-to-date information about immigration routes into the UK through monthly workshops.
You might be interested in our information on working in the UK, setting up a business, and finding jobs in your home country.
Part-time work and work shadowing
We provide advice on how to find part-time work through careers events at the beginning of Semester 1.
If you’ve had little or no work experience, you might be interested in volunteering or exploring work shadowing opportunities.
International Student Pathway
You can also access the International Student Pathway via MyCareer. It can help you find out where to gain experience, learn how to make your CV stand out, and explore your career options within or outside the UK after you graduate.

- LockinChina - jobs for graduates and students returning home to China for work, includes vacancies specifically targeted at Newcastle University students/graduates
