Background

Amelia studied Business Management at university and started two businesses whilst studying. She worked previously within the START UP Team in the careers service supporting students and graduates with early stage business ideas to progress their start-ups.

Outside of her work at the university, Amelia is part of a coaching collective which supports the development of individuals working independently for social change and the leaders of not-for-profit organisations.

Roles and Responsibilities

Amelia currently works as the Enterprise Adviser for both the HaSS and SAgE faculties. Her main responsibilities involve supporting students to develop a wide range of enterprising competencies across the HaSS and SAgE disciplines. She works with students within the curriculum and through extra-curricular activities and encourages them to consider both employment and self-employment as valid opportunities to pursue after graduation.

Amelia works closely with academic staff in order to understand the individual cultures of each school, and the needs of the students. She designs bespoke enterprise interventions in collaboration with each area of HaSS and SAgE in order to meet the differing needs of student cohorts.
