Background

Background

I joined the Careers Service in December 2018 - Previously I have held admin roles at UK Visa and Immigration, and also Leeds Building Society. Before that, I did 6 months of voluntary work as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School, and worked as an Auxiliary Nurse at Sunderland Royal Hospital for just over 2 years.

Role and Responsibilities

My role fits within the Careers Service, and more specifically, the Placements team. Generally, my role includes liaising with placement students, external employers and other staff within the Careers Service to coordinate students undertaking a Careers Service Placement Year. I deal with a lot of the admin, marketing and events for the team as well as help to coordinate everyone's diaries.
