Regional Enterprise Hackathon 2020

This online event enables groups of people to come together and develop a pitch deck, idea, app and/or website to fulfil a given brief and is open to all.

Date/Time: 01 April 2020 to 02 April 2020, 12:00

Venue: Online

Hosted by Newcastle University's Leadership Society, this year's topic is Making a difference: inclusivity and diversity. They appreciate that not everyone comes from a programming background and that’s OK! Being an Enterprise Hackathon they are merging business and computer science together, so knowledge of marketing, business and economics is just as valuable to your team!

Since the Enterprise Hackathon is now online, teams will no longer be coordinating face to face, but instead using file-sharing platforms such as Microsoft Teams. Groups will be expected to work between themselves and send a voiced over presentation 24 hours after the event begins.

There are some great prizes to be won which can be claimed from anywhere in the world. There will be big prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

On top of these prizes, this event will be a great opportunity to develop skills in teamwork, presentation and idea development, as well as providing some excellent talking points during interviews, plus some experience to include in your CVs.

Furthermore, this year they are excited to announce that they will also be accepting attendants from many Northern Universities, including Northumbria, Durham and York.
