What is it?

To make your campus experience even better, we’ve partnered up with Yoyo – a fantastic, free loyalty app which gives you an easy way to get something a little extra out of your daily coffee. 

Why is it great?

Yoyo allows you to collect points as you shop, and exchange them for drinks, meals and snacks across the University cafes. It will also let us give you personalised, timely offers and discounts.

So, why should you use it?

  • Free hot drink* with your first purchase
  • Earn points (£1 spent = 100 points) as you shop, and exchange them for items
  • Get more out of your purchases with digital stamp cards which activate automatically, and enjoy free items, including hot drinks and hot meals (Oishii, Courtyard, Chicken Shack) - buy 9 and get your 10th free!
  • Invite a friend, and you can each enjoy 500 points on us**
  • Receive vouchers and special offers directly into your app throughout the year, exclusive to Yoyo users; you can also share these with a friend if you like!
  • Enjoy offers personalised to you and your preferences
  • Decide how to pay – you can continue to pay traditionally, or set up a digital Yoyo wallet (optional) for super-fast check out (don’t worry – your card details are not stored by us, by Yoyo, or on your phone. Find out more here.); by paying through Yoyo, you can also track your spending with digital receipts.

* Hot drink vouchers are only redeemable in a china cup or reusable cup/mug
** Redeemable when the first purchase has been made

How do I get it?

From 28 October, simply ask one of our staff for a Yoyo card, then download the Yoyo Wallet app from the iOS store or Google Play Store. Select "Newcastle University" as your site, and you’re now ready to start getting rewarded!
