Research

I am exploring how the chromosomes are oriented, organised and separated during the cell cycle in the model bacterium, Bacillus subtilis. Particularly, I am interested in the precise organisation of the chromosome during sporulation, as well as the mechanism of chromosome segregation during this process. This knowledge may also provide a basis for understanding key events in chromosome dynamics during vegetative growth.
